Welcome to the New Boss, the Same as the Old Boss
Plus, Elon Musk apparently is trying to pump TSLA stock again.
It’s Tuesday, which means it’s… I don’t know what Tuesday means. A suspect in the assassination of the UnitedHealthcare CEO was apprehended at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Syrians also gave Bashar al-Assad the boot. But there are also some car stories happening, believe it or not!

The Prodigal Son Returns Home at Stellantis
Stellantis
Monday morning Stellantis had yet another new boss at the head of its Ram Trucks brand, and it’s someone who is already quite familiar with the job. That’s right, Tim Kuniskis has returned to head the truck brand once again.
He resigned earlier this year but didn’t stay away for long. Probably because the head of Stellantis, CEO Carlos Tavares, resigned last week ahead of his planned leaving. While its unclear at the time of this publication why Kuniskis left or came back, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to imagine that the two probably didn’t get along.
On the internet, people are wondering if that means that Hemis are coming back and that the new Charger is going to have a Hellcat in it. That seems, at least right now, unlikely.
While at Ram Trucks before, Kuniskis was the brand head who introduced the Ram Ramcharger range-extended EV. While at Dodge, before he Urban Meyer retired, he was the one who signed off on the Charger Daytona — the all-electric version.
Kuniskis is more than capable of running the truck brand, in my opinion. He has the experience within the company to handle the hurdles the brand currently faces, which include getting that all-electric truck and that plug-in range extender out there. He’ll also have to help navigate a new regulatory (or non-regulatory) environment under the incoming Trump administration.
I do have to wonder if there’s literally nobody else who could run the brand. Chris Feuell wasn’t really given a chance at all to leave her mark on the truck brand, and there is something to be said about doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results.

The “Q” is for Short Sellers
We all know the role that Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors, is playing in the Trump team transition into the White House. Between that and his constant posting on Twitter, it’s a wonder he has any time to get any real work done at the companies he runs.
Maybe that’s why it’s time, yet again, to pump the stock with a new product that is really, for sure, totally going to happen.
It’s being reported that at an investment meeting recently, Tesla’s Head of Investor Relations, Travis Axelrod, revealed that a Model Q is coming and will be introduced in the first half of next year. The base price could be as low as $25,000. It’s designed to compete with the Volkswagen ID.3 and the BYD Dolphin.
Let me know if you’ve heard that one before. Oh wait, I have. Also, considering that Q is part of what identifies short sellers in the online community, I take all of this with a gigantic grain of salt.
